Why do we like this?
I recently saw these guys open for Alt-J at The Orpheum, an old, operatic-theatre in Vancouver. They blew me away with their energetic, electro-infused chamber pop, nearly upstaging the headliner in the process.
I guess there isn't much to do in Winnipeg besides make music, because Royal Canoe has obviously spent some considerable time and effort honing their craft, as demonstrated on their debut LP Today We're Believers. It came out just a couple weeks ago, and is definitely worth purchasing. You won't be disappointed.
