New album from the hustlers over at Soulection. This time they're dropping something new from Sango: a follow-up to his celebrated "Da Rochina." I gotta say, 2014 is off to a banging start.
Da Rochina 2 is an electronic hip-hop album that's got that signature Sango sound. Sango's hard to describe... upbeat at times, tad soulful at times, or straight up tropical with a flavor of classic hip-hop. Check the track Maluco for a taste of his variation. In his own words, as he described it to okayplayer, Sango says he's got four types of production: "1) really heartfelt, from [his] soul, stories from [his] personal experiences, 2) experimentation like Da Rocinha, 3) for rappers and singers, and 4) remixes and edits." Whatever he decides to go with, it always sounds good.
