Why do we like this?

New melancholic bedroom music by way of Crash Avenue. It's from a Montreal musician named Charlotte Oleena, now known as Sea Oleena. xoJane called it "the kind of music that makes you long for something greater in your life." I like to think of it like soy milk: subtly sweet.

"If I'm" is off her first label-released album Shallow. The full album preview sounds excellent -- sort of reminiscent of early 2000s indie. It's as if The Silver Mt Zion took a stab at pleasant-sounding pop music. 

If you're interested in Charlotte's music, check some of her earlier stuff, available for free download via Bandcamp. More music like this over on Portland label Lefse's SoundCloud. Her album drops late September.
