Why do we like this?
After a year-long absence, the production duo behind Sepalcure (Travis Steward of Machinedrum + Praveen Sharma of Braille) are back with a single off their Make You EP, set to release in mid April.
Appropriately titled "Make You," this song is the perfect introduction into the mysterious world that these two have created for their music, with plenty skittered percussions and danceable grooves. This gauzy, downtempo track loops Whitney Houston's "sometimes life with make you crazy" lyrics from her "Love Will Save The Day" track, and flips it into unison with the hazy house rhythm that simultaneously surrounds it, ultimately making you want to move around in your swivel chair while your introspectively sit in a dark room.
Now, I'm not one to predict the future or anything, but if "Make You" is any indicator into what we can expect from their soon-to-be-released EP, then we're in for a serious treat.
