Why do we like this?

Groovy, crunchy bass line and ethereal vocals; in writing, it sounds like a Flying Lotus track -- but that couldn't be further from the truth. After hearing this track, I feel very much like the emoji in Silicon's Personal Computer artwork.

Breaking news: Silicon is actually a KIWI! He's a goddamn New Zealander, or as The Guardian so cheesily puts it, "Nu-Zealander." Ugh. The Guardian beat me to that pun.

I'm going to go ahead and say that "Cellphone" sounds a little like Toro y Moi. I'm not fully happy with that comparison and neither should you. Go peep the album.
