Why do we like this?
If you're not familiar with Brooklyn's Snowmine, then I'm sure you will be soon enough. These guys are strapped with such innovative ways to make beautifully ambient indie rock that you may start to wonder where these ideas even came from. Example A: this video for this single; lanterns, brooms. What's next?

"Curfews" is their newest release, but I highly suggest to check out their album Laminate Pet Animal, released back in May. These guys have been creating buzz and picking up steam throughout this year and I have a feeling that next year is going to be very kind to them; their talent is not to go unnoticed.

"Curfews" starts off quick and strong. When I first heard the vocals, I immediately thought of Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie. At the same time, Snowmine has a way more progressive feel to them, which easily sets them apart from Death Cab. Their approach is fresh, their lyrics are thought-provoking, and their instrumentals are intricate and incredibly plush.

If you like what you hear then please, by all means, don't deprive yourself! Laminate Pet Animal is a doozy. Keep a look out for a national tour too. If their tours are anything like their video, I'd say it'd be quite a memorable experience.
