New to Indie Shuffle today is music by Stephen, a 23-year old music maker based out of L.A.
Stephen keeps grabbing my attention because he's doing this interesting combination of strong, emotive ballads that build and switch up into these big electronic crescendos.
I applaud the originality here. This type of musical style combination of indie ballad plus future bass isn't all that common. Stephen does the arranging of his tracks himself, including this latest one called "Fly Down." He wrote, played, and produced this himself.
It's clear that Stephen is a thoughtful and generous person that thinks deeply about his relationships, life, and his place in the world. It's evident in his lyrics and on via the snippets of his thoughts he regularly writes via this open letter, a blog-style website that he regularly updates.
