Why do we like this?
Rock and roll has always been the foundation of the Australian music scene, dating back to the pub rock scene of the 80s. As time has progressed and the music industry changed, so has the Australian scene, with indie, electronic and hip-hop the popular genres alongside good old fashioned pop music, a genre that will never die.

But there are still a few Aussie acts influenced by the past, and one of the most interesting is Victorian quartet Stonefield. Comprised of the Findlay sisters, the group take influence from the great rock acts of the 70s and 80s, especially legends Led Zeppelin. Having released two well-received EPs, "Put Your Curse On Me" is the first single from their self-titled debut.

This has all the hallmarks of classic rock: heavy guitars, sliding bass, pounding drums, and Amy Findlay's spunky vocals. Produced by Ian Davenport (Band Of Skulls), the sisters even roped in a gospel choir and organist, giving "Put Your Curse On Me" a Deep Purple meets The Runaways aura.
