Why do we like this?
A surprise remix from a few months back. This one's combining two of our favorite producers right now: Ta-ku and Flume. Pretty dope stuff; there are eclectic samples on top of continuous claps, plus a funky delivery around 1:43. What I imagine joie de vivre to sound like in beat form.
In November, fellow Shuffler Hugh said that the buzz surrounding Flume was only going to grow. I have to agree. He's definitely one of the more promising Aussie producers out there, and it follows that we've been covering his work like crazy. So it was a no-brainer we'd feature these first class soul beats, even if they're relatively old. A bit more sped up than Ta-ku's version, more dancey. Stylish, if we had to boil it down.
You can download this track for free on Flume's SoundCloud. We're looking forward to more Flume in 2013, and you should be too. Also, don't forget to listen in on Ta-ku's 25 Nights for Nujabes set.
