Why do we like this?
When The Black Keys released their debut album The Big Come Up in 2002, they probably weren't aware how appropriate the name actually was. Since then, the band has catapulted into fame, recognizable by almost any indie rock fan the Western world over.

What's another band recognized by everyone in the Western world? Well, the The Beatles, of course. One of the great tracks featured on The Black Keys' debut album was "She Said," a raw and bluesy cover of the olden British band's dreamy pop sound.

The Black Keys are capable of fitting many time periods, be it the 60s, or the mash-up phenomenon of the last few years. Is it because most of our music finds its roots in blues? Does that explain why The Black Keys are so frequently featured in mash-ups like today's bonus with Big Boi? Perhaps. You be the judge...

Jack White - Mother Nature's Son (The Beatles Cover)
Sufjan Stevens - What Goes On (The Beatles Cover)
Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) - Yesterday (The Beatles Cover)
Dave Grohl - Band On The Run (Wings Cover)
