Why do we like this?
Introducing The BlackWhite, a five-piece hailing from London, UK that is currently filling my alternative rock needs. Josh Bray, Ed Broad, Guy Prall, Harry Deacon, and Ashley Krajewski have collaboratively settled on a youthful, indie-oriented sound that emerges from a grayed-out genre (hence their name).
Their debut EP (released back in January 2013) titled The BlackWhite is a powerful one. It's emotionally revealing and has a undeniable sense of personality to it, all the while remaining technically elaborate.
The band has more recently unveiled their newest single titled "All Of Your Voices," and it's kind of mind blowing. The track is fairly hard edged, with undertones of hopefulness reflected in the lyrics sung. The melodies enhance the energetic presence of The BlackWhite, as this track proves to be darkly beautiful in its own way.
