Why do we like this?

Forewarning: though today is New Year's Eve, this is not the pick-me-up soundtrack that you're looking for (try our Top Remixes of 2011 instead). It's actually a mellow, but beautiful remix of a song with some pretty intense lyrics.

This remix of "Too Insistent" comes off a double LP of remixes released by Trentemøller (including those he has done and those done to his work). The original track by The Dø comes off the French/Finish duo's latest album Both Ways Open Jaws, a freak-pop adventure that unfortunately got limited coverage relative to its worth.
