Sydney folk-duo (Simon + Melinda) have an interesting tale to tell:
They met. They fell in love. They wrote songs. They fought. They made up. They broke up. They wrote songs.
Take from that what you will, but whatever their situation, their relationship has resulted in the creating of some pretty darn gorgeous music. Late 2011 saw them commence recording, with "Hollywood" being their first single (the title track of their debut EP, which has just been released). After touring with Of Monsters and Men and Passenger last year, they've been selected to appear at this year's SXSW in Austin and the Canadian Music Week in Toronto.
The Hollywood EP is chock-full of indie folk gems. Current single "Home" is a good representation of the music they make "“ stripped back acoustic guitar coupled with clever vocal interplay between the two.
