Why do we like this?

I finally got around to listening to this newFlaming LipsEP Peace Sword, and I have to say it's better than I expected. Being that it is supposed to go along to the filmEnder's Gameas a sort of soundtrack, I wasn't expecting a normalFlaming Lipsalbum. Turns out, it's one of the most straight forward records we've heard from them in a while.

The Terror is an emotional weight of an album and most be taken as so, but this new EP seems a little more playful and a return to normalcy for theLips. This tune, "Peace Sword (Open Your Heart)," has a futuristic intro that soon turns into a Yoshimi-sounding chorus.
