Wow, where is my brain??? The first time I listened to this, I did lose it a little, in the best way possible.
I appreciate the organic erraticism and meandering path of this psych-rock piece. The Lazy Eyes guide you on a playful and loose journey, mirrored in their music video, that feels like that iconic episode of the Magic School Bus flying through a human body. The best part is when they arrive at the brain, the song slows, teasing you into thinking it's about to end, and then everything crescendos beautifully . The whole piece is quite spacey, cerebral and dynamic.
This mind-bending single comes from The Lazy Eyes' second upcoming EP. They are a creative four-piece psychedelic band out of Australia who met, aged 16, at a performing art school. I love what they've created thus far, and so, they've climbed high on my list of artists to see when the world goes back to normal.
