The boys from The Ugly Club might have a bit of an image problem on their hands because there's nothing ugly about them. And certainly their music is anything but ugly!
Born and bred out of New Jersey and now basing themselves in New York City, The Ugly Club is a four-piece comprised of Ryan, Taylor, Rick, and Ryan.
This is their first appearance on Indie Shuffle, but it turns out they've been around for a long time. And by a long time I mean they already have two self-produced EPs and a full-length album to their name! They're also tour veterans, having independently toured around the US and Canada and have made appearances at festivals such as SXSW and CMJ.
"The Lonely" is their first single release in 2015. Lead singer Ryan describes the tune:
"This track is cool for us. It has all of our usual elements -- tight groove, synth hooks and live instrumentation. But it's more colorful and pop than even we have gone in the past."
