Why do we like this?

Gorgeous honey vocals take center stage in The Daydream Club's cover of The Zombies' "This Will Be Our Year." In the opening line, there's a slight bluesy undertone that piques my interest right out the starting gate, later to be maintained by standout vocal layering.

The percussion has a lot more bass and boom to it than the original which now, in comparison, feels a little too light. The Daydream Club's reimagining of the bridge is also incredibly interesting, so much so that it's got me greatly looking forward to their future album, Got It Covered.

"This Will Be Our Year" marks the launch of the new ongoing project —Song Stream. Speaking about it, the band explains:

"We plan to release a steady flow of songs as we write/record them for what we're calling Song Stream. We'll be working on multiple albums simultaneously so each single could be completely different to the last."

"We don't just want to stop there though... our favourite projects have always been when we have involved you in the creative process, so we want to involve you again... we want to hear your stories."

They're asking people to send them their personal stories out if which songs will be made. Only unique creators with a clear sense of vision, inspired ideas, and spontaneous experimentation could imagine up a such a scheme, which also signifies how their cover of "This Will Be Our Year" takes a classic and makes it even better!
