Why do we like this?
Iconic doesn't really begin to describe Tine Turner and her gritty voice. 1984 saw the release of her famous "What's Love Got To Do With It," and it's definitely a track which has weathered the years well.
Zimmer, a DJ and producer from Paris, has reworked Turner's familiar track into a horizontal disco piece fit for any daytime fiesta. Using a beat beamed down from outer space, Zimmer lets the original melody shine through the washed out synths. Tina's vocals soar throughout the five minutes, untouched. It's a little funky, a lot electro, and all Tina - and who doesn't love that?
