Sounds like: M.I.A, St. Lucia
Why do we like this?
I think between listening to St. Lucia (also from South Africa) and M.I.A's newest, "Bad Girls," "Bombani" is a perfect segue.

So, continuing in the mindset of sunny escapes, here is Tiyiselani Vomaseve with "Bombani." Known as Shangaan Electro, this pumped-up, marimba-fueled jam is a whopping 184 BPM. Producer Nozinja decided back in 2005 to reinvent the typical 90's Shangaan disco in this way -- swapping instruments, speeding it up, and in some cases, adding English phrases.

"Bombani" is a track produced by Nozinja, on Nozinja's label, Honest Jon's. The artist, Tiyiselani Vomaseve, is a five-piece girl group. Aside from all those important details, what's blowing my mind right now is that as fast as this track is, it's AMAZINGLY CALMING. I'm not sure if some new study will pop up about how 184 BPM, and/or Shangaan Electro calms the nerves, but I wouldn't be surprised. "Bombani" is working for me on many levels and it's a perfect addition to any playlist.
