Why do we like this?
Vancouver indie pop act Twin River return after a slight hiatus with rip-roaring new single "Anthony."
The tune has a garage-rock vibe with just the right amount of reverb so as not to drown out the bursting pop melody that runs through "Antony."
Aesthetically similar in sound to The War On Drugs, singer/guitarist Courtney Ewan's supreme vocals remind me of Sharon Van Etten, which is always a good thing.
This is a welcome return from a talent bunch whose sophomore LPs due March 4.
