This song kind of hits home today as I approach a space where I'm purging myself of all the members in my inner-circle that contribute nothing to my world, yet again.
Yeah, I've done this once before, and those moments afterwards were some of the most stress-free years of my life. They were the most fun. So here I am, and here you are with me, about to listen to something that mimics my world right now.
"Cutting Ties" by W I S H I W A S is a powerful deep house gem that recruits steady hearts with its hard-hitting bottom end, and the unstable ones with it ghostly melodies.
It's a tune that invokes the strength one needs in moments where you know that ridding yourself of energy or energies in your life which only provide darkness and negativity is an absolute must, mixed with the melancholia that comes shortly after you have done the deed and have said your final goodbyes.
"Cutting Ties" is a forward march that is still filled with brief moments of nostalgia as you do your best to continue straight ahead without ever turning your head to look on back.
