Why do we like this?
Earlier this month we picked up on a new indie pop quartet out of LA called WALLA. The first song off their Nature EP was titled "No Time," and had a sound not unlike Empire of the Sun.
Flash forward a couple weeks and the title track off the EP is now available. "Nature" has a slightly different tone to the former single -- this one kicking things off with a distinctive and upbeat guitar lick. The sound is undeniably "Australia," but not in that aforementioned Empire of The Sun Way; I'd have to peg this closer to Last Dinosaurs...
Comparisons aside, Walla appear to be forging a path of their own. Chances are you'll be seeing more of them in the near future!
