Why do we like this?
It's hard to choose just one song to highlight from L.A. quintet Warships's latest EP, Shadows, but I think "Heater" best exhibits their knack for precision and refinement. What other band do I know that possesses those exact same qualities? Well, a little band by the name of Foals comes to mind, and this EP feels like a continuation of their latest work Holy Fire.
"Heater" is just one of the many songs full of undeniable hooks and a haunting chorus dressed in dreamy atmospherics. There's not much more you could ask from a debut EP from these guys, and trust me when I say we'll be hearing a lot more from them in the very near future.
