As Wilkinson performed to a sold-out O2 Forum in Kentish Town, I realized we'd be listening to his latest single in one form another for the next few months to come.
In a previous review, I described him as a "God walking among mere mortals when it comes to creating the most melodic and anthemic drum & bass tracks" and I was proved correct last Friday watching his live show. Cascading pyrotechnics, smoke, and deafening volumes were all the elements of the incredible spectacle put on by the Ram/Virgin Records signed artist.
Strong female vocals came soaring across the forum from Shannon Saunders and Jem Cooke, with the hype man Ad-Apt keeping the crowd singing back every word.
Even in the more instrumental moments the raving squad were fully committed.
My only complaint? I wasn't fit enough to dance for that long and needed a massive chill out session! That is not a problem however, when this Ivy Lab remix is about.
Taking Wilkinson's latest single into new realms, this one deserves a moment of calm and a full-focused listen.
You can catch Wilkinson again at Wireless Festival this summer.
