Why do we like this?

YoAstrum provides the vocals and Mr. Carmack provides the beat on this sensual new hip-hop track. It's a serious head-nodder featuring large bass stabs and an almost Caribbean feel.

I hadn't heard music by YoAstrum before this, and I am thoroughly impressed by his vocal work. On the other hand, I have most definitely recognized Mr. Carmack's presence in the blossoming electronic beat scene. Having released on Mad Decent and shooting into the limelight with two consecutive best-selling albums on Bandcamp -- Bang. Vol 3 followed by the Life/Death EP -- the Hawaii-bred producer is an extremely exciting prospect.

"A Day's Worth" is a great way to transition into 2014. This year, we'll hopefully see a lot more of Mr. Carmack, Yo Astrum, and further collaborations between the two. In the meantime, enjoy this extra smooth hip-hop tune and grab it for free download here, thanks to Thissongissick.com.
