Zowie Broken Machine (RAC Remix)

With their remix of Zowie's "Broken Machine", RAC ventures into the Southern Hemisphere. New Zealand, specifically.

Formerly known as Bionic Pixie, Zowie landed in the Top 5 down-under with her debut single, "Broken Machine". Reminiscent of Lady Gaga in style and of La Roux or Robyn in sound, her music positively intertwines a mix of vintage synth-pop, electro-pop and simple resounding chants. Oh, and did I mention that she knows Karate? More impressive than that, Zowie masters her own vocals, guitar and synth/programming. All this at only 22-years-of-age.

Having opened for The Kills and Peaches, as well as playing a number of big New Zealand festivals, Zowie will be making her live debut in the United States, starting in L.A. at The Viper Room (opening for The Darling Stilettos) on October 15th, and thereafter heading to CMJ Marathon in New York (10/19/10 @ Le Poisson Rouge, 10/22/10 @ Fader Magazine CMJ Event).
