AU has taken the music scene by storm this year, releasing their highly anticipated third album, Both Lights, and completing a U.S. and European tour with bands like Deerhoof, WHY?, and The Dodos. Phew!
A new video for their song, “Solid Gold,” has been recently released, and it’s a highly energetic video at that. At the start, though, it’s quite somber and calm. A choral vocal takes the lead while a piano lends complements. Soon thereafter, the wave breaks. Beautiful chaos ensues. Imagine you were in a psychotic whirlwind of all things psychedelic and wild. This uninhabited approach is one that requires much attention to detail and imagination. AU’s got that covered.
