What's so good?

Beach House is currently wowing fans on their current Australian tour, but there's a local band making music the dream pop duo would be proud of. Jay Kranz and Virginia Bott recently released their first single under their project Brighter Later (having both played in bands together previously). "The Woods" is the first taste of the duo's forthcoming debut album, The Wolves, due out in early 2013.

The album was written, recorded and produced by Kranz in an old church in Melbourne's West (which doubles as Kranz's home!), and the first single draws significantly from these angelic surroundings. Dreamy, wistful and deep, the track also contains an adventurous nature to it which really draws the listener in. Brighter Later had no plans for how their new project would sound, and this freeness shines through in their recordings.

If you like music you can imagine to, then this is for you. The single has been released in line with an incredible accompanying clip, which can be viewed below.
