In standard fashion, 2012 is winding up with no new music. I guess that’s why everyone can release their “best of” lists at the start of December (before the year has finished) — there’s a 95% certainty that no new music will come along to take its place.
And so, here we are bringing you songs from way back when. If you consider 2010 “back when,” that is.
Broken Bells are definitely one of the more successful “super bands” to have formed in recent years. Fronted by The Shins’ James Mercer and production legend Danger Mouse, I find their sound to be easily digestible.
And while critics didn’t embrace their self-titled album with as much love as I did, there are certainly some stand out songs that we can all agree to like. For example, this one!
