What's so good?

"Coast" is the synth-laden sophomore release from New York trio CON VOS. Consisting of Irish singer Sorcha Richardson and rap duo Fortunate Ones, CON VOS is an interesting mix of indietronica and hip-hop that somehow works free from irony.

Taken from their upcoming EP Cocoon Bloom, "Coast" is all edgy synths and driving percussion, with Richardson's gorgeous vocals warming the icy production. There's a real 80s feel to this one, and it wouldn't be out of place on the Drive soundtrack, or in some seedy Miami coke den. The Fortunate Ones add a rugged element with their N.Y. raps, but it's all about Richardson, who is a talent ready to be unleashed.

Whatever your thoughts, CON VOS' genre-bending take on indie, electronica, and hip-hop is extremely stimulating, leaving you wanting more.
