Crystal Fighters just released a remix EP of their song “At Home,” featuring Disclosure, Pony Pony Run Run, and a few more. You can listen to it here.
I’ve said this before and I’ve said it again: remix EPs that feature just one song are completely lost on me. Who int heir right mind would want to listen to variations of the same song 10 times in a row?
Perhaps the only argument can be made when the original song is incredibly strong in and of itself. Fortunately, “At Home” is a pretty solid track.
What’s even more exciting is that the band is actually looking to release a full album of remixes (yes, with a variety of tracks). What’s the exciting part, you ask? Well, it’ll feature tracks from Passion Pit, Totally Enormous Dinosaurs and Delta Heavy, among others. Obviously we’ll be keeping our ears perked for the release.
