Santa Barbara trio Dropout's newest single has been out for about seven days and reached nearly 50,000 streams on SoundCloud. It's pretty safe to say that a huge chunk of those have come from me. I've listened to this song repetitively trying to figure out what genre it truly is. After playing this track a lot, I've realized something that should have been obvious: the lack of genre is clearly what makes this song so good. In a day in age where dance music has the shelf life of an open bag of potato chips, having a unique and addictively fun record likes this is rare.
