Ok, I think it’s safe to say we are all glad Ms. Apple is back in action. Her new single “Every Single Night” makes me want to get all teenage-angsty again, stop eating, and maybe hang out in a bathtub in lingerie. God, weren’t the 90s amazing?
New York City’s Its Overture has remixed the throaty single, focusing on the empowered cat calls from Fiona herself. The rushed beat replicates a fervor that definitely fits with her persona and library. Although the original has much more to it lyrically, I am totally on board with Its Overture’s omission of anything resembling an actual word. The track’s sex appeal is sneaky and subtle, just the way it should be.
