Flight Facilities' "Clair De Lune" was a quick favorite over here at Indie Shuffle, with fellow Shuffler Elizabeth Walker proclaiming, "Now this... THIS is a song."
Can I say that now that this... THIS is an edit!? Them Jeans bring a little hop, skip and clap into FF's original. It's some dreamy chill house that steps outside of this world. Specifically around the 1:30 mark, an imaginary conversation comes to mind, a soundtrack to E.T.'s goodbye. A gorgeous sense of acceptance pervades Christine Hoberg's somber words.
As a producer, DJ and music journalist, this isn't the first time Them Jeans, aka Jason Stewart, has caught my attention. Check out his rework of Rihanna and Mikky Ekko's "Stay," and keep up with Stewart and Flight Facilities on their respective SoundCloud pages, here and here.
You can grab a free download of this track on SoundCloud, or purchase a vinyl copy here (including works by Prins Thomas, Crazy P on vinyl, as well as Motez on digital). Digital will be available on October 22nd!
