What's so good?
By David Peter Simon | Jan 22, 2013

Soulection reminds me of quicksand. You get anywhere near it, and then, all of the sudden, you're sucked in. Along with HUH WHAT & WHERE, it's fair to say they're curating/promoting the most captivating beats across the globe.

I have a new rule of thumb: always share anything Soulection puts out. It's just too damn good to skip. Plus, I got a message in my inbox that simply read "YOU NEED THIS." Gotta admit... they're right. YOU NEED THIS. All caps. This is an amazing future hip-hop edit of Frank Ocean's Novacane by multi-talented Philly beatmaker LAKIM. Hit play and you'll hear that typical LAKIM intro, followed by hypnotic beats. I'll repeat their advice again: YOU NEED THIS.

This track is free to download, and came with a description that stated "this is another reminder of what's to come in 2013. Stay conscious." We're intrigued - and staying conscious. Are you? Make sure tollow Soulection on Tumblr. Don't forget to check out all of LAKIM's work on Bandcamp. Dude's tearing it up.
