Newly minted member of 4AD, the experimental songstress Grimes has just released a fresh track off her upcoming album Visions. Before my first listen, I was a little worried that “Genesis” would be all over the place — floating somewhere in an intangible synth-pop realm. Fortunately, the song actually has quite a bit of structure, delivering an exciting glimpse at what could be quite an interesting album for the new year.
