While we're on that female buzz, I'd love to introduce the empowering second single from Haula. After her seductive debut "Darkest Hour" last year, the Ugandan born, UK based singer/songwriter has started 2016 off with a strong follow-up. "Freedom" showcases her arrestingly deep, soulful vocal alongside honest, raw songwriting. This, married with dynamic production and swirling ambience, creates what I see a as a solid war cry -- very much like a modern take on the old protest and/or gospel songs, utilizing call and response, a rumbling, multilayered backing harmony and simple, solid messaging.
