Already recognized for his workings on Frank Ocean’s “Swim Good,” among others, London-based producer Distinction has delivered another dope rework with Jessie Ware’s gorgeous album opener, “Devotion.”
Because the original is so vocally-focused, Distinction decided to take a different approach by making this version a bit more instrumental with heavy bass and atmospheric progressions. The compression of sounds coherently produces a much different feel than what we’ve heard before, but I’m enjoying it nonetheless.
