I've always enjoyed bands like Minus The Bear for the intricacy of their instrumentation. And if you're like me, I'm pretty confident that you're going to like KIVEN's new song "Hope & Smoke" a whole lot.Hailing from the smog-swept city of Los Angeles, Kiven are gearing up to release their third EP, 1840 later this month. "Hope & Smoke" is the first single off the EP, an upbeat and emotive opener filled with slick guitar licks, tight rhythm and perfect harmonization.The other two tracks ("The Blur" and "Forward") are re-written versions of prior releases, and smoothly fill out the twists and turns setup by "Hope & Smoke" as if they were composed with that intent.Definitely a band worth keeping your ears out for.Tracklist1.
