What's so good?
By Hugh McClure | Apr 10, 2012 | Total plays: 45,905

Sydney-based producer Lancelot (Lance Gurisik) is a rather busy young man. Aside from studying orchestral music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, he's become one of the worst-kept secrets of the dance pop scene. He was among the Top 10 most blogged artists on Hype Machine for over a week (just behind Skrillex!), not a bad start!

While his remixes of Australian acts have been accumulating (including tracks by Matt Corby, New Navy, Toucan and Tim and Jean), he's also managed to release a few tracks of his own. Indie Shuffle featured a remix of his track "We Can Dance"  back in February, but today we're placing the spotlight on "Spoken Word," another track from his recently released EP.

This track is dance-floor gold, and having already seen well over 30,000 streams on Lancelot's Soundcloud, it's no doubt being enjoyed by some of you already. Smooth and well-produced, the synth and piano hooks give this instrumental track plenty of character.

With plenty of smarts behind him, Lancelot is bound to go from strength-to-strength with plenty of local gigs coming up. The question is when will he take his show on the road. Stay tuned.
