What's so good?
By Jason Grishkoff | Jun 07, 2012

Props to the blog I Rock Cleveland for flagging this track by Lighthouse And The Whaler way back in January. The song "Pioneer" was released as part of an EP a couple months back, and can be streamed in full on Bandcamp.

The band are based out of -- you guessed it -- Cleveland, Ohio. Somewhat odd given the maritime visions their name evinces, but perhaps they're just pining for some good ol' rocky ocean coastline.

"Pioneers" is full of folk-pop glory, promising to follow-up in the footsteps of bands like Of Monsters And Men and Mumford & Sons. While their success will likely never hit that of the latter, they're certainly positioning themselves well with songs like this one.
