Ghostly founder Matthew Dear is readying the release of new a remix EP, out January 28, 2013. Remixers include Seth Troxler and KiNK, in addition to Benoit & Sergio, an electronic outfit sprung from the depths of Washington D.C.’s musical underbelly.
Off Matthew Dear’s 2012 album Beams, Benoit & Sergio lay their remix down smooth as creamy peanut butter. Where the original is a quintessential example of Dear’s quirky, experimental style, the American duo brings this to a fresher, silkier texture. Slow and beautiful, the delicate nature of Benoit & Sergio’s remix is instantly gratifying.
