What's so good?

For me, of Montreal can be hit or miss. I went through a phase where I loved absolutely all their work, but that ended pretty quickly. Something about their style was just too hectic for repeat listening.

"She Ain't Speaking Now" however, managed to pique my interest. The latest single off their upcoming album Lousy With Sylvianbriar, the song takes a distinct indie rock approach, all while managing to maintain some of the edge.

Though I think it's pretty clear at this point that they're not going to be breaking any new boundaries with this album (their 12th to date), it's still impressive to see quality new material coming from a band that formed way back in 1996.

Lousy With Sylvianbriar will be available September 24th, and you can reserve your copy on PolyVinyl's website.
