What's so good?

Sydney duo Olympic Ayres are a band on the rise. Having released two EPs already, they’re currently completing a third, this time with the aid of noted Australian producer Jean-Paul Fung (who was the mastermind behind Last Dinosaurs’ hugely popular album In A Million Years). They’ve been turning heads of late, with a number of support slots showcasing their energetic live show.

With new music not ready until early next year, I thought I’d give you a taste of a track off their first EP, “Daylight.” Their innovative mix of disco, electro and hip-hop (“basically we try to make dance music with instruments”) really gives their tracks a party-friendly feel, with the highlight of this song being the tropical percussion breakdown to finish.

They’ll be in full party mode in Sydney at the INDIE SHUFFLE PRESENTS party (FBi Social @ November 24 – RSVP here). You can check out both their EPs (Episode I & II) on their SoundCloud.
