This duo from Leeds, UK have an incredible knack for poppy hooks that are arranged inside a bubble of fuzz and seemingly amateur-ish musicianship. This gives it a little more character, rather than taking away from the song.
"The Ghost of the Yellow Dog" is a combination of psych-pop and lo-fi indie rock. They purposefully embellish their lack of true chops to make some music that immediately connects with the listener. Word is that they haven't been signed yet by any label, and are really on the brink of breaking out into the music consciousness of a lot of listeners.
