Quirky British producer Romare is back with a follow-up to last year's excellent Meditations on Afrocentrism EP.He returns to the always amazing Black Acre label with his Love Songs: Part One EP. Moving from sampling African music, Romare's latest fascination is with soul, R&B and blues from America, with some classic love songs of yesteryear popping up across the EP.On our favorite track, "Hey Now (When I Give You All My Lovin')," however, Romare interacts with jazzier elements to create an sultry slow-burn. For our money, this is Romare's best track yet.
