What's so good?
By Jason Grishkoff | Jun 10, 2012

Gigamesh's remix of "Summer Life" has a definitey 80s feel to it, all the while staying modern and fresh. The original is due to be released by The Penelopes in July, and definitely represents a full-on summer vibe.

The Penelopes the are Parisian duo Axel Basquiat and Vincent T., now based out of London. They define their genre as "gloomy indie," a label which no doubt captures the toned down vocals better than would the tag of "electronic."

I don't think they're going to be storming the top 10 charts anywhere, but I have a feeling they'll continue to carve out a nice niche of their own.

Meanwhile, we'll let Gigamesh tear it apart with this remix.
