What's so good?

My love and adoration for The Smiths dates all the way back to my sullen middle school years, so now when I come across a remix of these guys I'm always a bit hesitant. Taking such an iconic, untouchable group and melding them into a completely different genre almost seems like a huge no-no, right? Before I would have totally agreed with that statement, that is, until I heard this sick remix of "This Charming Man" by Peruvian DJ Luis Leon.

What he manages to accomplish here is an interesting sound that picks apart Morrisey's vocals and splits them between combinations of lush deep house productions, nu disco, and 80s synth. With all the work that has been done to this song I can't say that I'm disappointed, and I honestly think that fans of The Smiths will be pleasantly surprised by how smooth everything sounds.

If you're diggin this track go 'head and grab it for free here.
