The Whigs, a three piece rock band from Athens, GA, continue their tradition of writing solid, guitar led arena rock on their fourth album, Enjoy The Company. Their last album, In the Dark, was a little bit of a dip into the mainstream, but seems this new album has them letting loose a little bit and not worrying about how the record is received.
“Summer Heat” is the first single off Enjoy The Company. Singer/guitarist Parker Gispert’s vocal howl has been polished, but still maintains a lot of personality. It’s long past summertime here in the U.S., but this tune transports you to that hot, sweltering season. Check of The Whigs live for a great, high-energy performance.
