We can probably all agree that Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a killer movie. It’s an undeniable classic made more so by signature tracks like Yello’s “Oh Yeah.” I’d be willing to bet a very large percentage of the population has, at one time or another, uttered the words “OH yeah, chicka chickaaaaaah.”
Tim Green just dropped a new EP called, 3 Days Ago. For whatever reason, the title track, “3 Days Ago,” conjures Bueller to mind, and I find myself uttering “chicka chickaaaaah” along to the beat. So, if you’re one of the few that have never uttered those famous lyrics, I urge you do try it now. I assure you, you’ll find a smile there.
Green applies a retro vibe to this track, partly reminiscent of something very RJD2, but wholly drawing from the soul of yore. I find this to be a good track, not great, but it does offer a great start to feeling great.
Along with a whole slew of up-coming material, coincidentally, the UK producer plans to drop some remixes via (get this) — Oh Yeah Records. Yeah, I know, too funny right? “Chicka chickaaaaaah!”
